Who are we
Our world makes use of new technologies every day, and computer science is a key ingredient that has made this possible. However, there is an issue: a homogenous group of which women are not a part is majoring in this field, designing technologies for a diverse world. There is a need to inspire the next generation of female tech leaders, and it starts with encouraging young girls. The lack of opportunity, the terrible history of women in the field, and the current bias have hindered the growth of women in the tech industry.
But that’s why While She is True was created.
While She is True is a non-profit dedicated to educating, empowering, and encouraging young girls to explore and pursue careers in the technology industry. We achieve this through our threefold approach:
Free Expert Education
Learn core principles of computer science through our systematic approach.
Resource Provision
We provide free hardware technologies to aid in learning computer science and other technologies.
Dedicated Mentors
Learn from volunteer tutors with extensive computer science experience, who also serve as role models and provide guidance.
