Calgary Hackathon

Saturday, August 8, 2026 · 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Richmond Knob Hill Community Association, 2433 26 Ave SW, Calgary

OPEN_DIVISION (AGES 11–15):
Open to any girl in the community, no prior WST camp experience required. Teams (solo, pairs, or up to 3) use any technology or programming language of their choice to build a project that solves a real-world problem, then pitch it to our judges. Free coaching sessions run August 3–7 via Zoom to help teams brainstorm ideas and get their projects off the ground.

BUILD_&_SOLVE_CAMP_DIVISION:
Students from our Build & Solve Camp will also be there, presenting the projects they've built throughout the summer alongside the Open Division participants.

Students from Entrepreneurship & Tech Camp pitch original tech solutions to real-world problems.

DIVISION_2 // INTRO_TO_AI_&_COMPUTER_VISION:
Students from Intro to AI & Computer Vision camp showcase AI and computer vision projects.

DIVISION_3 // OPEN_HACKATHON:
Open to girls ages 11–15 in the community, to build and pitch a tech solution of their choice.

3 prize categories per division — cash prizes, tech gadgets and gift cards up for grabs!
