Introduction to Creative Coding

Intro to Creative Coding is a beginner-friendly coding class designed to introduce students to computer science fundamentals using Code.org's CS Fundamentals: Express Course. Students will develop problem-solving skills, computational thinking, and creativity through interactive and hands-on activities. This course explores loops, conditionals, events, and sprites, empowering students to design their own digital creations. By the end of the program, students will be able to code and debug their own projects, showcasing their skills through games, animations, and interactive stories.

Gamify: Exploring Game Programming

Gamify is an introductory game development course where students explore the fundamentals of game programming using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade. This hands-on class teaches students how to create retro-style arcade games using block-based coding. They will design and animate sprites, plan game levels, and develop interactive gameplay mechanics. The course culminates in a Game Fair, where students will showcase their unique game projects for friends and family to play and enjoy.

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (Intro to AI)

Intro to AIΒ  is an introductory course designed to immerse students aged 11-15 in the fascinating world of artificial intelligence. Through hands-on activities and interactive lessons, students will explore AI technologies such as generative AI, computer vision, and large language models. Using platforms like Code.org and Python, they will learn the fundamentals of AI, including prompting techniques and ethical considerations. The course also features guest lectures from AI professionals, including researchers, engineers, and professors, providing insights into real-world AI applications in medicine, security, and more.

Note: We recommend this to students who have gone through our Intro to Python class or other slightly advanced coding classes.
